For Counselors & Staff: Signing In to Scoir & Multi-Factor Authentication

Cristina Hernandez Updated by Cristina Hernandez

Scoir gives counselors, teachers, and other staff members the tools they need to guide and support students as they plan for their futures.

This guide walks through registering, signing in, and completing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to securely access Scoir.

Step 1: Register Your Account

If you haven't already, register your Scoir account by clicking the link in the invitation email your school sent you. Once you click the link, you'll be prompted to create a password. After registering, you'll be signed in to Scoir and can start exploring right away.

The registration link expires after 7 days. If yours has expired, reach out to your Scoir Account Administrator and ask them to resend the invitation.

Step 2: Sign In

For all future sign-ins, go to app.scoir.com/signin and enter the email and password you set during registration.

To reset your password, select Forgot Password?, enter your Scoir login email, and click Send link to receive a reset email.

If your school uses Clever or ClassLink, select Login with Clever or Login with ClassLink instead. Please know that if you use Clever or ClassLinks Single-Sign On (SSO) to login, you will bypass Scoir’s identity verification (multi-factor authentication) steps below.

Step 3: Verify Your Identity (Multi-Factor Authentication)

To help protect student information and other sensitive data, Scoir requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all staff accounts. MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a verification code during sign-in.

if you use Clever or ClassLinks Single-Sign On (SSO) to login, you will bypass Scoir’s MFA

After entering your email and password, you'll be prompted to enter a 6-digit verification code.

Scoir will send this code to the email address you used to sign in. Look for an email from automated@scoir.com with the subject line "Your Scoir Verification Code."

Once you have the code, return to the verification screen, enter it, and click Confirm to finish signing in.

During the initial transition period, you will only be prompted to complete this verification step once. This allows Scoir to confirm that you can successfully receive verification code emails before MFA becomes fully required. Once fully implemented, this step will be required at every login and when signing in on a new device.

Didn't receive the code? Please look in your spam or junk folder, as the email may have been filtered there.

If it's not there, you'll see two temporary options on the verification screen:

  • I didn't get an email — lets you continue into Scoir and also notifies Scoir of the delivery issue so we can improve the process.
  • Skip for now — lets you bypass verification and continue into Scoir.
Both options are temporary and will be removed once MFA becomes fully required. We recommend completing the verification step now to make sure everything is working as expected.

Signing In on the Scoir Mobile App (iOS)

The Scoir mobile app is available for iOS users on the App Store. Download it and sign in using the same credentials you use on desktop: email and password, or Login with Google, Clever, or ClassLink.

Multi-Factor Authentication on Mobile

MFA works the same way on the app as it does on desktop. After entering your credentials, you'll receive a 6-digit verification code at your Scoir login email. Enter the code to complete sign-in.

You'll be prompted to verify your identity every time you log in or when signing in on a new device for the first time. SSO users (Clever or ClassLink) will skip the verification step.

Android users: The Scoir mobile app is currently iOS only. You can still access Scoir on Android by visiting app.scoir.com/signin in your mobile browser.

Still Need Help?

If you're experiencing technical sign-in issues, contact your school's IT administrator for assistance. You can also share this resource with them, which covers how to whitelist Scoir domains, IP addresses, and email addresses to ensure Scoir emails are delivered reliably.

If you no longer have access to your school email, contact your school administrator to have your access reinstated.

For all other sign-in issues, reach out to Scoir Support.
