For Counselors & Staff: Signing In to Scoir & Multi-Factor Authentication

Cristina Hernandez Updated by Cristina Hernandez

Scoir gives counselors, teachers, and other staff members the tools they need to guide and support students as they plan for their futures.

This article walks you through registering your account, signing in, and completing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), which is required for all staff accounts that don't use Clever or ClassLink SSO.

Step 1: Register Your Account

If you haven't already, register your Scoir account by clicking the link in the invitation email your school sent you. Once you click the link, you'll be prompted to create a password. After registering, you'll be signed in to Scoir and can start exploring right away.

The registration link expires after 7 days. If yours has expired, reach out to your Scoir Account Administrator and ask them to resend the invitation.

If the invitation email never arrived, check your spam or junk folder before reaching out, as emails from automated@scoir.com can sometimes be filtered there.

Step 2: Sign In

For all future sign-ins, go to app.scoir.com/signin and enter the email and password you set during registration.

If your school uses Clever or ClassLink, select Login with Clever or Login with ClassLink instead. SSO users will skip the MFA verification step described below.

To reset your password, select "Forgot Password?", enter your Scoir login email, and click "Send link" to receive a reset email.

Step 3: Verify Your Identity (Multi-Factor Authentication)

To help protect student information and other sensitive data, Scoir requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all staff accounts not using ClassLink or Clever SSO. MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a one-time verification code each time you sign in.

You will be asked to verify your identity:

  • Every time you log in
  • When signing in on a new device

After entering your email and password, you'll be prompted to enter a 6-digit verification code.

Scoir will send this code to the email address you used to sign in. Look for an email from automated@scoir.com with the subject line "Your Scoir Verification Code."

Once you have the code, return to the verification screen, enter it, and click Confirm to finish signing in.

Didn't receive the code?

Check your spam or junk folder first, as verification emails can occasionally be filtered there.

If the email still hasn't arrived, select Resend Code on the verification screen to request a new one. Note that each code is only valid for a short period, so be sure to use the most recently sent code.

If you're consistently not receiving verification emails, share this resource with your school's IT administrator, which covers how to whitelist Scoir domains, IP addresses, and email addresses to ensure Scoir emails are delivered reliably.

Signing In on the Scoir Mobile App (iOS)

The Scoir mobile app is available for iOS users on the App Store. Download it and sign in using the same credentials you use on desktop: email and password, or Login with Google, Clever, or ClassLink.

Multi-Factor Authentication on Mobile

MFA works the same way on the app as it does on desktop. After entering your credentials, you'll receive a 6-digit verification code at your Scoir login email. Enter the code to complete sign-in.

You'll be prompted to verify your identity every time you log in or when signing in on a new device for the first time. SSO users (Clever or ClassLink) will skip the verification step.

Android users: The Scoir mobile app is currently iOS only. You can still access Scoir on Android by visiting app.scoir.com/signin in your mobile browser.

Still Need Help?

If you're experiencing technical sign-in issues, contact your school's IT administrator for assistance. You can also share this resource with them, which covers how to whitelist Scoir domains, IP addresses, and email addresses to ensure Scoir emails are delivered reliably. Once they've taken those steps, reach out to Scoir Support so they can clear the email bounce and you can attempt to log in again.
