Common App System Refresh: What to Expect in Scoir

Each year, Common App goes offline temporarily to wrap up the current application cycle and get ready for the next one. Common App's 2025–2026 first-year application will close on Tuesday July 28th and reopen for 2026–2027 applications on August 1.

What does this mean for schools using the Scoir and Common App integration?

Once Common App goes offline, the 2025–2026 application cycle is over and those applications are closed. All integration features in Scoir are disabled during this period, meaning documents can no longer be sent for any 2025–2026 Common App applications and students cannot link their Scoir and Common App accounts.

Still need to send a Final Report or Transcript? Learn how below.

When does everything resume?

Common App reopens for 2026–2027 applications on August 1. Once Common App is back online, all integration functionality resumes. Your new class of seniors can link their Scoir and Common App accounts, and you can begin sending documents for the new application cycle.

Once Common App reopens, you won’t be able to send documents through the integration for any students who applied during the 2025–2026 cycle. Learn more about sending documents for alumni here: Sending Documents for Alumni with the Common App Integration

Common App is offline and I still need to send a Final Report or Final Transcript. How do I do that?

You can still send these documents through Scoir. Because the 2025–2026 cycle is now closed on Common App, documents can no longer be sent to Common App through the integration. However, Final Reports and Final Transcripts can still be sent directly to their Common App colleges through Scoir’s send system or downloaded for manual delivery.

  1. If you haven't already, upload the Final Transcript and/or create the Final Report in Scoir for the student.
  2. Go to the student's profile, expand Colleges & Applications, and select My Colleges.
  3. Find the Common App college you need to send documents to and click it to open the preview panel.
  4. In the panel, scroll down to Application Document Status. If it’s after 8/1 and the student is considered an alumni in Scoir, click Enable Documents.
  5. Click + Add Docs.
  6. In the pop-up window, select the Final Transcript and/or Final Report for this student and click Attach.

Note: Completed Final Reports and Final Transcripts will only appear here for applications with outcomes that match your school's Send Final Reports setting. If you don't see them, check that the student's application outcome is recorded and that your settings are configured correctly. Learn more.
  7. Click Send to deliver the documents through Scoir. If the college is not set up to receive documents electronically, you will see Download instead, which lets you download and send the documents manually.
  8. Repeat these steps for each student and college that still needs final documents sent.
